*The department is also able to assist with applying for federal benefits on behalf of the Veterans and/or their family members which may include: services connected disability pension, non-service connected pension, surviving spouse pension, aid and attendance, military records, applications for VA health care and applications for the Iowa Veterans Home, headstones, and other programs that may be available.
