Citizenship Interviews/Tests

Programs that offer official CIS interviews and tests which allow people who have lived in the United States for the requisite period of time and who wish to become U.S. citizens to demonstrate their knowledge of basic facts about U.S. history and government and their ability to speak and understand simple English. The English language requirement may be waived if the applicant is over a certain age or has been a lawful permanent resident for a specified number of years. Applicants with a disability waiver may not be required to take the civics exam. The interviews and tests and administered at District offices of the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS).
